Fruity connundrum....

I thought the '93 frame was silver to purple fade. Though they did all sort back then, lol.

If it's black it could well be older at '92. iirc '93 could be when they 'squared off' their decal look, though the Fruity addicts here would know far better ;)
P7 style fork are the one's that try to resemble suspension fork (one of the reasons the P7 frame was oversized, was for suspension)

Pictures would tell all though :)

EDIT:
I was just trying to say, silver would not be out of place on the bike as an option, lol.

EDIT 2:
I believe the fork you are talking abouta are called F7 (not P7)

My O-Prestige when I bought/built it back in err 92 I think (vague as it got nicked after not many miles  )

Anyway it was black frame (orange decals as they are...) and I had the O-Alu forks on it, so obviously silver in colour. It looked good just with just the silver fork on.
Goes well with silver wheels, stem, seatpost... (though I did have gold WCS bars to add a hint of orangey colour)

In other words, why not leave them silver in colour ?

would that frame look something like this

i have 1 of those but its a little worse for ware. needs a total overhaul, just waiting on a PM from Gil_m as to some decals for it.

I have a feeling it was :) Though I think my Prestige sticker was smaller (look at the 92 catalogue on this site and you'll see the white/orange coloured frame has smaller ones.)

Though not having it for very long :( and not having any pictures that I know off I could never be sure.

The only reason for the '92 timing was I had XTR on it though.

'93 (catalogue also on this site, hey I went looking for what the F7 fork are made from, btw it's tripple butted Cro-mo steel).
The squared effect looks fine to me now :)

It road brilliantly, was light etc... but then it got nicked, I got a RM Altitude (still have) and it is much much better bike.

Couldn't be sure

Frame looks right, stickers are wrong but mine has definately been repainted and stickered at some stage.Seat tube on mine is fragile so Ihave put a long seat tube in to help support it still not sure if I would trust it of road though. It may end up as a single speed road thing which would be a shame. If I build it up and use it for work and it makes it through the winter I may chance it on some light ruffstuff in the spring.
