front mech question

which front mech do I need for a Ritchey P21 frame ?

I am fairly sure it is bp , but diameter ?

vernier calipers are always your friend

not yet , but i have nearly all the bits to build it . if it goes to plan , should have it repaired before xams .

I dont have any calipers .

What size seatpost does it take? That'll usually give you a clue as to the band size of the front mech.

i think its 31.8 but honestly cant remember. verniers are a must hav tool

My P20 is e-type. I'll go and have a quick look

Right using a ruler (verniers are another tool i haven't got round to buying yet :roll: ) its comfortably under 30mm so must be 28.6mm. I don't know about the tube profile on the P21, but my P20 is quite heavily ovalised towards the bb, so would need a traditional high mount mech
