Friends in Holland?

Well... I´m in Holland for two weeks with no bike, and nothing to do this weekend

I´m up in Assen and wondering if anyone is close and possibly able to suggest something to help entertain for a few hours? There was an ATB race here last weekend and I found the BMX track... but with no bike I am at a lose end. There is a music festival this weekend though...

I guess I could hire a bike... but I´m open to suggestions from our fiends in Holland?

Well you shouldnt go to Assen, Zwolle is much better. Whats in Assen besides the Dutch TT ?

Well if you were in Zwolle I could try to figure a bike for you to trash the Veluwe and Leemcule..

Well for one thing we're having the first informal "Dutch Section" Retrobike International group ride here! Bring your clunker, pub-bike, trailblazer, winter hack, singletrack muncher or garage queen, anything goes.

Where: VanderValk Hotel parking lot just off the A28
When: this Sunday 21st September 09:00 hours
What: 3-4 loops of the 24hours MTB race circuit

I´m looking forward to this... I´ve no idea what the kindly Mr IbocProSX is going to lend me and it really doesn´t matter anyway.

I get to ride a bike this weekend when I expected not to... and with someone from the Retrobike forum... which is a first time for me :roll:

That was a fine morning, a quick scoot round the trails, a gawp at the BMX racing and a look at Merida´s 2009 bikes which are downstairs in the hotel.

Cheers Nol for the loan of a nice Ti bike... that is probably the longest I have spent on a correct size Ti bike and it felt very good. Perhaps I need a Ti bike after all :roll:
