French Shipping Question..

I have won a Stem through fleabay,any ideea of the shipping to the uk?the sellers asking for 17 euros postage,the stem only cost a euro!! is this a bit strong?not really fussed if it goes recorded,no expense to it,hence the winning 1 euro bid!!

If he sends it as a "Colissimo" international traceable package, the rate quoted for 1kg is 15.90 €. Many sellers insist on using a traceable format - it's simpler for them, and covers them in case the buyer claims the goods were lost.

On the other hand, cheaper rates are often available. I sent an XT freehub from France to the UK a few weeks ago for 8€. The key words are "timbré" and "économique":

If you can persuade your vendor to use that service, and you're not in a big hurry, you might even get under 5€.
