Hi Peeps

I have a problem in that my freehub has just stopped spinning, seized, worn out ,given up, any way Its off my Rock Mountain Fusion 97, I took it to my local bike shop (the bike shop Derby) and they had never seen one with a big thread on as I have on mine, Help. :( . Is there any one out there that can put me out of my unhappy state of mind, and help me get my girl running right again.....

just to help out from another thread, i think it is a silent clutch one if that makes a difference?

I would post a picture but I left it with the bike shop who are going to ask there service guy who is in the shop on Wednesday. The diameter of the thread that srcews into the wheel hub from memory is about 30mm. It is a silent clutch forgot the terminology earlier. HELP

Just checking the year . Silver coloured bike ?

and if the wheel is original one, then it would be an STX hub with a 7 speed 11/30 cassette on it.

so models of STX where FH-MC32-S or FH-R050

FH-R050 is silent clutch and seems to jump groupsets

You'd be better off just buying a similar quality rear wheel, or a second hand one of here if you don't want to pop the cassette off and then the freehub and try and clean it, let alone find one for cheap.
Check Chainreactioncycles for a rear wheel or pair of.

Replacement parts , you can get a decent wheel for that much.

The Fusion is blue not silver? The hub is in a nice wheel set so i bit reluctant to strip it all down, I shall bear that in mind though as a last resort.
