You can sign up for the daily summary email rather than an email for every item which cuts down the email traffic, but you run the risk of missing things because I swear there are people who read it all day looking for stuff worth punting on!
If you're looking for something specific, set up a separate email account and subscribe to all messages. On your email client, set up a rule that deletes everything without the key word(s) you're looking for.
