Hi guys. I have a 1993 orange clockwork frame that had a seatpost well and truly siezed in. To the point where all attempts to shift it have failed.
So far it has been through:
vice & twist/pull action.
hole through post, lever inserted twisted & pulled.
Caustic soda
heated seat tube/freezer sprayed internal of post.
I have started to cut down through the post, but after using up the best part of a sunny bank holiday I have given up!
The frame itself is in good sound condition. it had a decent quality respray (dark blue.) but will need a new one following the heat/cool post removal process.
I believe argos can shift stuck posts for £15, and im sure a continued attempt with a saw blade would see results. However I need to clear some space and I have had enough of fighting this battle.
The frame is a small 16" and i'd like to think some one can get it fettled.
Collection from Leeds or Oxford can be arranged.
If it doesnt find a home, its to the tip with it
