Karma FREE 2x Roberts frames, 1 with Miche headset

LondonClassic

Retro Guru
These are now free to a collector or I can post at your cost

I got these two Roberts frames at a jumble. One (red one) clearly had BB issues but on getting home grey one also did (clearly a replacement BB was brazed in but some gorilla has clearly faxed this too, both cups spin but dont wind out. The red one has a drive side cup that moves but (you guessed it) won't spin out and a non drive side with something round wedged in there. In short to use these as frames you'd either need to get these BBs out, braze in a new BB or use a threadless BB. Both BBs spin so you could use them in theory...I wouldn't. As these are both Roberts they may be worth the extra effort....but I dont have time.

Roberts 531 fork with mudguard eyes and the Miche headset (Grey frameset):
Main tubes 531ST, mudgaurd eyes, rear rack mounts, unknown repair to BB
Seat tube CTC:610mm
Top tube CTC:580mm
Head tube: 185mm
rear spacing:130mm

Red frame:
531 tubes, mudguard eyes, rear rack mounts,
Seat tube CTC:600mm
Top tube CTC:580mm
Head tube: 180mm
Rear Spacing: 126mm
there is a dent midway in the down tube - if interested I can add more pics.

FREE to collect Broadstairs (almost Belgium) or I have a frame box, you pay postage.

What do you think the postage would be?
I mean, I have a back garden and plenty of dangerSpace for Colin Caustic to do it’s worse…

Dunno....£30 or thereabouts?

I'll check parcelforce

I dont think you'll need CS....hammers, cold chisels, angle grinder.....

Last time I sent a frame and fork it was only £10 with Parcel Force - as long as the box is under 120cm long, I think. Prices might have gone up a bit, but not by much, I'd guess.

Also, my LBS took out a very stuck BB using some heat for £40, so even with that and the postage factored in that's a Roberts F+F for £50...though it's true a threadless BB might still be required depending on the state of the threads...

Great karma, anyway 👍
