i had some fred salmon plastic handlebar end plugs !!
they were cheap and cool way back in the early 90s
they had the little white fish logos. a free-b with mbuk maybe ?

free with mbuk 1994. I put mine in my fluro yellow onza L bends which looked so out of place on my royal blue/white splatter Cannondale 3.0

They were better than the free mint sauce socks that came with summer 1992 MBUK superbikes edition. They lasted 2 washes

Fred was a quite successful cyclo-cross and MTB racer in the late 80's/early 90's who, when he retired from racing, branched out into supplying accessories.

I rode against him in 'cross when the field included people such as Nick Craig and David Baker.

During the races the only part of him I saw was his backside as he rode away after lapping me several times

Wow ,theres another retrobike blast from the past topic
5/10 for their quality
but 10/10 for such a crazy sounding name 8)
I seem to remember having a stem by them,it was a copy of some current bling,x-lite or something

initially had a shop in stockport were he sold his stuff and all his surplus pro kit (Look road bike with muddy fox decals I remember).
Now has a shop in Whaley Bridge, very nice man.

But with a name like Fred Salmon, you're never going to attain bling status, no matter how good the parts are.

Agreed

Sure he's a nice bloke but maybe he should've changed his name to Ringlé or King or something?
