Frame saver

I've been using Dinitrol Converust RC900 on some of my frames. Its designed to convert any rust to a stable compound so it won't get worse and turns any rusty areas black. You can get it with a 60cm long flexible hose with a nozzle at the end that squirts out at right angles so its perfect for spraying inside tubes.

To protect against new rust I was recommended Bilt-Hamber Dynax S50 anti-corrosion wax by Chas Roberts Cycles who reckon its better than JP Weigle framesaver, and its cheaper and easier to buy. This has the same long flexible hose as the Dinitrol but is much runnier so can get mesy if you spray too much, so a little probably goes a long way.

Kurust does that, must be made of the same stuff :-)

This is one subject that deserves a sticky.

I spray motorbike chain wax into my holes.

Been doing that as long as I have had the stuff.

Works a treat.

Kurust and similar work for killing the rust, but you need to get straight in with something to seal the metal.

:)
