Frame cable stop

Does anyone have a single cable stop off a frame I could have? Doesn't matter if it's been on a frame before and has been cut off or is brand new ready to weld on. Need one for my Clockwork for the front mech. It should have one on the seat tube, but it's gone missing.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

Matt

Sorry I cant help, but where are you getting it welded too? Cause if its a frame builder/cycle shop they should easily get hold of one.

Hopefully either going to get a mate to do it or possibly even do it myself. Might have to see if i can find a scrap frame and cut one off.

Aha I see.

I'd be tempted to google frame builder and ask to buy one direct from them. Sure they wouldnt mind and wouldnt cost much I guess.

I've got a small selection left over from my framebuilding days... have you got a pic of the other one? I'll match it if i can.

All the best,

I just did one on a frame this weekend, bought a length of silver braze and flux from ebay for £8.50, hacked cable stops off a scrap frame and used a cheap plumbers gas torch. Even filled in chain suck damage and added a chain pip. No use for major structural work but fine for braze ons and filling. Now to add bottle bosses and a fitting for a front mech pulley.

It's satisfying to watch when you get it right and the braze just flows even on small jobs. Give it a go yourself.

Thanks for the replys everyone. I think any single cable stop will do the job, although maybe a rounded style one similar to this:

Good thinking of the DIY approach. My brother-in-law is a plumber so can borrow a torch and flux.
