last week end in france was a small expo of some frame builders

a few pics here

some of you will recognize Kris who painted Jezz and lee trimble a few years ago .
 
Cheers for that, theres some awesome looking stuff in there very inspiring seeing creative shed/ind unit art works doubling as innovative rides. Brilliant 8)
 
do jrd do frames to order as im loving the finish on the jacko lanten pattern frame im thinking modern/retro geo xc frame to fit me with forks to match in that lovely black finish sweet as is all i can say 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

that is where my next hardtail is coming from , should be ready very soon .
Depending on what you want , prices are very good too .
 
That was great Chris, from what I could see of it. Unfortunately a bit much for my retro PC, but I got it working again eventually (amazing what you can do with a few squirts of WD40).

What struck me about your 'small' expo was that I don't think an expo for the whole of the UK small-scale cycle industry could compete with that small sample for artistic flair. I wonder whether the UK is the most backward nation on earth for small-scale cycle industry artistic flair? Not quite perhaps, but the typical UK small-scale cycle builder seems to be old, grumpy and dull, but there wasn't much of that in evidence over there.

[If I'm being unfair to anyone in the UK, I'd be very interested to know who they are.]
