Lo and behold one pair of Fox Forks. Originally TALAS 130-90mm, my Dad did zero maintenance and the stanchions wore at the bushings  . I've taken the TALAS cartridge out and replaced with a Float air piston (orig ~140mm travel I think), which can be adjusted with spacers to 80-100 mm travel at your choice. When set to <120mm the wear is covered up, so they should seal OK. The damper is an RL, I thought it was a 100mm, but it seemed to go up to 120mm, but I can't confirm they'll be ok to use at that setting. You can either have scruffy v-brake lowers or the TALAS disc-only lowers. The v-brake ones have good bushes (and the seals fitted at the mo) the TALAS lowers are corroded inside and needs new bushes. I can also include the original TALAS cartridge. Steerer is a whopping 232mm! These are spares or repairs only.

Prices:
Fork with either lower, filled with fresh Fox fluids £30
Either lower as spares - additional £10
TALAS cartridge - additional £10
Postage to UK mainland 48 hour service £12

Feel free to make me an offer - only looking for a Rolls saddle or Deer Head rear mech for swaps.

Re:

OK, it was working fine when I took it out. The plan was to reduce the travel to 75mm for a retro build but I went for a rigid fork in the end. I might be able to do it as a small parcel for £3.90, if not it'll be a medium for £6.30.

Re:

Re-built with the TALAS lowers, the damper would only go to 100mm travel so added 2x20mm spacers to spring side to bring it down from 140mm. The damper, err damps and the lock-out locks! The distance from the wiper seal to the crown is now 108mm and the axle-crown is ~470mm confirming they are now at 100mm travel setting. Pictures of stanchion wear shown and one as rebuilt showing worn area is now below the oil seal. I put 40cc of oil in the air-side instead of the recommended 20cc as it gives a bit more to slosh around and keep everything lubed. Oh, and it has a brand new air-side top cap :D

Hi. Sounds good. I have lots of unused stamps so could easily send some to cover the postage. Am happy to split with bas7ards if he's still up for the rest? Am flying early tomorrow am but would be back by Friday pm to answer pm's etc.

Cheers, James.
