On the look out for a suitable chainset to finish a fairly low-budget vintage road build pls folks.

The bike has a late 1970s British steel frame, Maillard hubs, Weinmann rims & centrepulls and early '80s 10 speed Huret kit ... so you get the idea.

Double, 42/52 (or 40/52 or 39/53 similar)

Ideally removable rings, in good nick

Cotterless, square taper axle naturally

Something like an SR or Sugino would be good or W.H.Y? Ofmega, Nervar?

Max budget's about £25 posted

I think I've got SR chainset for you but the postage cost would kill the deal :(.

I'll try to figure out something else.

I have a Raleigh branded SR one .I will post a picture if you think it is suitable. { Came off a 1980's RRA }

thanks, that's 130bcd right? rings look well used but a nice c/set for sure. might hang to see if there's anything else out there
