Hypothetically speaking if I was to come across someone selling stuff at what I thought was "taking the piss" prices (not anyone I'm dealing with ) is it just best to ignore it and let the lack of sales do the talking???

cool, thought so just want to check because this:

Keep commentary on pricing to a minimum - the value of retro parts is very subjective

Can be subjective itself.

Will keep schtum then :D

I'm sure most of us will have seen stuff for sale in the ebay and the members section, in particular the members section and have been dying to comment on the sale ..your have a ffin laugh buddy ..I know I have so on occasion you have to be polite as say something like, can I ask how you came to that price :D

In reality though unless you are going to buy it and want to haggle..which should always be done privately I feel...then there is little point

Still tempting though

Unless you're an expert on that particular bike brand/model and extremely familiar with the value, don't comment on the asking price.

Can all members list an item for sale, or do you have to pay fees to the site in order to do so?

Anyone can post a for sale thread free gratis. Just have a read of the rules beforehand.

Prices are only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them, as it might happen someone is desperate and has the cash, but these instances are more of a exception as opposed to the norm and anyone who bases anything on a exception stands to be educated.
