You need an 1" crown/steerer for that. You can replace the crown/steerer, but not only the steerer tube. That's pressed into the crown.

Ok,thank you,i thought i may be able to replace the 1 1/8 with a 1 inch and a shim but maybe not after what you said

a-c for Rond Rebel is 415mm
a-c for Marzocchi is 435mm
Measured by hand.....

The Rond has oil/springs. Both working OK...
