Fork service and seal replace - Who to use?

Hi guys I have some Marzocchi Monster T forks which are feeling a bit soft.

I weigh about 85Kg and can bottom them out on the hardest setting when just giving them a decent bounce.

I need the seals replaced as one of the sanctions is getting a coating of oil when i ride.

I read replacing the oil is easy but changing seals is a bit tougher.

So any suggestions on who I should send the forks too? I am based in Edinburgh but can post if need be.

Also how much can I expect to pay?

Well folks I have ordered a seal kit, seal removal tools and fork oil.

Going to give it ago myself next weekend as I was unsure who to send them too and it will be a good lesson doing it myself. I have the instructions so should not be too bad fingers crossed.

I aim to strip the forks this weekend and will rebuild them the week after.

PM me.i've just replaced the seals on my 1999 Z2's and they are fantastic once again
Getting the old ones out was a frigging nightmare i dont want to repeat[inspiring confidence in you ]
Any help i can offer just ask

putting them in is a doddle,i worried about it after the hassle of getting them out but the freezer trick and bit of pipe sorted it no problem

I've no idea what Monster T's are, sound quite modern.. probably why you've had err no response.

But
There are pictorial instructions here

look at the one's closest to your forks.

I have been doing Z2 Superflys and useful the X-Fly and '02 Bomber/Marathon one. Both have hints and tips and pics useful to me as all the forks are pretty much the same for the seal change etc..
So do the same for your era of fork.

I will pm you dyna-ti once I get the forks split and have had a nosy inside. Hope its not too much of a nightmare.

FluffyChick they are err around 1999 so are pretty old. Maybe not many people have split these forks however.

I did the seal and oil change yesterday.

I took my time and it only took me around a hour. Was far easier than I expected.

I bought the two tools in the instructions but you don't really need them.

Sell the tools if youre finished with them
