stripped my modern mongooses forks before i went away and am gonna rebuild them tomorrow,theres some white grease around some of the internals and id like to renew it,but with what?

dont want to spend loads on small pots if i can get similar stuff from motor facters

any help and advise would be greatly appreciated :D

Rock Oil? I had it in my Z2's for about 10 years...
Think I changed it once, and then gave the rest to a mate.
It worked.
 
I think that any grease that doesn't swell rubber should be ok. If you're buying some, you might as well get some that is compatible with elastomers just in case you buy some elastomer forks. I said I'd never go back and then bought a pair of RC35s.... I bought some Pace-grease from Fork English (justbackdated).

Rock Oil is motorcycle fork oil that has been around for yonks, I've used it on old Yamaha and then used the rest of the bottle in a pair of Rock Shox Judys ten years later!
