So I finally got a chance to have another look at the forks - and actually I think they have seen some use. They have some chips here and there, nothing major:

they look fine to me. Could you grab some measurements for me - axle to crown and the steerer tube. I'm only diddy so I doubt the steerer will be to short, but I'd like to make sure the length matches my current ones

Re:

Just did some quick measurements - steerer is about 23cm and the axle to crown is 40cm. Bit of a short fork I guess? What's the A-C length of yours? Do you think suitable for a 95 Fire Mountain I'm single speeding...?

A to C is almost the same - 420mm - so both non-suspension corrected. mine would be absolutely suitable. Wouldn't mind you confirming exactly how long the A2C is, 400mm does seem a little short but not too much.

if the length is ok for both of us are you happy to swap?

Re:

PM me your details and I'll send out the forks - if they work for you then great, send the canti forks back. If not, send mine back... How's that sound?
