How have I made it this far without realising I need a van in my life? I'll inform The Management who will undoubtedly support me as she does in all my man-ventures. I'll blame you.

they are another money pit though!

+wheels
+front bumper
+grill x 2
+rear bumper
+spoiler
+windows
+seats
+insulation
+panelling

I think you need some black on the body or something to finish off those new wheels!

You need to lower that - we've got -40mm H&R springs on ours if you want to pop round and have a look.

Nice van though - I do like the Caravelle front bumper.

Re: for sale on ebay, my T5 van wheels, 18" alloys

well the wheels sold so that's good :D

lowering, i'm still unsure, everyone says it will look better but that's not the most important thing to me, the ride is pretty good as is, i have been offered for free (if still in the guys garage) the sportline springs etc, a guy i have been doing some work for crashed his van and it was slammed, he got a replacement sportline and put all of his slammed kit on and said he'd give me the sportline stuff he doesn't want anymore so it will be 40mm (?) lower if i bolt it on and all genuine VW stuff so should be ok,

what puts me off is the possibility of increased tyre wear, and the stiffer springs bearing in mind the roads around here.

we'll see

You're welcome to have a drive. IMO, the handling improved massively - not really any crashier, but much 'tighter'. Tyre wear won't be affected if you get the alignment done, and there's a place in town that'll do it properly for £40.

The sportline springs are Eibach and lower by 30mm (near as dammit the same at the H&R) - they're supposed to be very good.
