For sale: 1997 Marin Mount Vision

Classicarman

Retro Newbie
1st Gen Mount Vision, rare, 1 owner from new (me) and never missed a beat or slipped a gear or creaked or rattled.
17.5", Original spec except:
Saddle: Flite Titanium
Stem: Art
Bars: Orange
Grips: lock on
Forks: Suntour
Tyres: Tioga
Still have original Manitous, very tidy bike, all decals in place, no dents/scratches, cherished by me alone, be very sad to see it go, finally resigned to modern upgrade but as I write this I'm still not 100% convinced! Still extremely competent XC bike.
£200

I see, thanks.
Trouble is I can't value it.
£350?
I picked my last one up same as that with extra wheels and stuff (same original frame shock) for about £156, if you a guide to price on it

Re:

Still have it as I only got it last year. It was eBay so that tends to price things nicely. They are not rare and lots of people have them. I can see how much a Vision Pro (model above) was bought for a month back if you want. 98 version but that's just a rear swing arm difference really.

I think my friend sold his vision pro for with hope wheels, air shox etc for about £140 a bit back too.

Nice bikes especially if you switch to a newer air shock at the back :-)

Yes, very comfy for my portly chassis. Mine still has original Fox rear shock.
Well I guess £200 is more realistic based on your advice then.
I'm finally upgrading, looking for a 2011 Attack Trail, just hope I'm not doing the wrong thing or gonna be disappointed. I like Marins, they got it right first time and this frame design still inspires makers today.
