For Sale: 1995 Merlin Titanium Mountain Frame 17.5"

I just found a new toy so i'd like to find a new home for this one.

The frame has been used very gently before i got it but it is close to new.
Absolutely no dings, dents, scratches and no chain suck marks.
Only some minor decal blemishes (worst is the seat tube decal) and on
one bottle cage bolt the allen head is rounded a bit.

All threads and bearing seats are perfect. Really nothing wrong with the
frame. Top and down tube decals were replaced with original ones and
before that the frame was brushed to the original finish. The other decals
are still original and their condition attests how little the frame was used.
I had hoped that my wife would want it as a rider but she says three bikes on her account are enough ;)

According to Merlin it is a 17.5", the middle of the 5 sizes.

Geometry details are listed here

http://www.bikepro.com/products/frames/mermtn.html

I measure 106mm head tube length, 1 1/8" head tube, suspension corrected for up to 65mm travel forks i would say.

Seat tube c-c 445mm, c-t 490mm. Top tube c-c along top tube 570mm.

Requires a 27.2mm seat post and a 34.9mm down pull front derailleur.

It still has the cantilever brake cable guide on the seat stays but is
likewise suited for V-brakes. Standard threaded bottom bracket shell.
Shifter cables run on the down tube which i personally like much more
than top tube routing.

Asking price is 350GBP and that includes insured USPS shipping from the
US to the UK.

Below a few crappy pics i just took. I will take better ones over the
weekend when i am at home during daylight hours.

Wow! Too big for me luckily, otherwise I'd be upset to miss it, especially at that price.

Current dollar rate makes importing stuff from the US waaaay more attractive than BITD.

wow, that went quick. looks like it is sold. if the deal fails to go through i will contact you in the order of the replies above (they match the PMs i got).

cheers, carsten

Looking at that piece of metallic art, I'm starting to feel a lot of empathy for that guy who ended up in court for "servicing" his bike the other week
