A tad pricey for a novelty item. £299

to be fair you can get a similar sized, shocking quality, mis-shaped gelert 'TSO' for a similar amount. this is probably just as wind and waterproof and i would imagine is built from better quality stuff to boot.

£299 for a tent barely cracks the surface! i've known people spend double that on a one man lightweight tent!

I don't think for one minute it's a heavyweight tent i.e. as in 3 seasons plus but i also doubt it's a rubbish one being that volkswagen have endorsed it, they rarely allow thier names to such things

for a summer tent with grinneage factor that sleeps 4 with with 2 seperate areas then the price isn't too bad

I know I paid a sale price of £480 for my hilliberg nallo 2gt which sleeps 2/3 or in my case..1 big lump and his kit when touring

I've got a £180 "tso" 5 man gelert tunnel tent, it has a 3000mm hydrostatic head and kept us safe and dry though force 6 winds in Northumberland a couple of years back when several more expensive tent owners were sleeping in their cars because their tents had collapsed.

A good light one man tent can be had for similar prices, paying any more than that is fairly pointless unless you are doing major trekking in very hostile environments. £299 is more than adequate for a family tent or even a small adventure tent, and design and knowing how to site it is far more important than what it cost.
