Want to see how a referee SHOULD be?
Watch this and note that you wouldn't get much change from 16-17 stone from either one of the players.
This is not soccer - Nigel Owens
Compare that with the diving, moaning, whinging, acting, handbag-toting lawn fairies in the top flight leagues, and you soon begin to see what's wrong with 'the beautiful game'
Don't get me wrong, to see some of the skill the players have is brilliant. It's just all the s**t that goes with it, both on and off the pitch, that forms the reason why I dislike it so much.
I think some of the football "fans" have a lot to answer for too. There's a reason why football fans are segregated whereas rugby fans aren't. Don't get me wrong - the vast majority of football fans are decent people who enjoy a bit of banter. But there is enough aggression amongst them to justify splitting them up into separate areas in the stadiums - something which you NEVER see at a rugby match, even with 80,000 people packed in together.
Oh, and as for the blood capsules? That was an isolated incident. Cheating is present in every single sport on the planet. Unfortunately, with football it's present in virtually every single game in the top flight leagues.
