But all this over a comment in the ebay section on a link to an eBay auction.
Which is what we do with eBay and off site links.

If you don't want a comment, don't post in the eBay section.
Or if it is your eBay sale *say it is your sale* or don’t post it.
It is best to make a sale post, with a price, in the For Sale section if it is yours, that's what it is for and we know it is yours. Comments are kept down in there as per the rules of For Sale.

Look at all the other ebay links in the eBay section, you'll see the chat that goes on.
