Flite Evo Repair

Old School Grand Master
Hi guys, I have this flite evo here that got damaged in a recent 'accident' I have got a spare set of rails that I could use off another 'donor' saddle, but I am not sure the best way to rebond the nose section onto the seat ? if it could be done at all, was thinking some sort of super glue, but dont know if it will affect the carbon or indeed bond strong enough... any suggestions ?

Thanks

you can get away with arodite rapid but dont put bucket loads on just anouth to create a 1mm in depth layer on the carbon on the inside 8) then leave under light pressure for 48hrs in a dry warm place (not damp) 8)

Have you thought about trying one of those fibreglass matting with epoxy resin body repair kits that you can get from your local motor spares shop.
That might work

I hope this helps you fix it

doogie :)

araldite is epoxy resin, exactly the same as what the saddle was made with in the first place so it will be perfect for the job though you wouldnt catch me sitting on a repaired carbon saddle!

Make sure the surfaces are clean, free from grease, dust & dirt (including the oil from your fingers) before bonding.
