Fixie disc brake

Thought this was an innovative way to slow a fixed gear bike down-as long as the chain is nice and tight :) ...

Surely it'd be more inovative to put the disc on the hub............no wait thats been tried. Your right this must be the way forward :facepalm:

You wouldn't want your left foot to slip off the pedal, that's for sure! Don't fancy that meat slicer spinning away just there...

If you ride at more than 7.6 mph, have obstacles ahead you want to avoid and want to stop, then yes.

Brakes have greatest affect on the front wheel, the forces from the ledals may be too much for quick braking, locking the rear wheel is far from ideal and risk of losing control.
