Fitting a front mech 'roller' to a Kona?

Hey up fellas, and fellerettes,

Just seeking some advice - has anyone fitted a front mech roller, thus changing from top pull to bottom pull, on their frames please? I have an XTR bottom pull front mech that will fit perfectly this way on my 'new' Kona frame, I can't for the life of me seem to source a decent top pull version however.

er the other way around, so banding somwhere 2/3 up the tube... will look bloody silly and it needs to be high to get the cable at ~ the right angle for top pull

If I read the OP correctly, I understand you have a frame with top pull cable routing but a bottom pull mech - correct so far?

I use one and it does the job fine.

Currently out of stock on CRC in 31.8 and 34.9mm sizes, but plenty of other places sell them.

Tos fine now, I stumbled across a shop that has some NOS XTR m900 bits and pieces for sale so managed to order a top pull mech from there, should arrive tomorrow, hoorah
