Just watched Hugh's fish fight on The Telly :D

http://www.fishfight.net/

Berluddy disgusting waste of food/resources dictated by governments

I'm no closet GREENY but this is sh!t and the ludicrous quota policy must be stopped.

sign up, join in and circulate to everyone you know - unless that is you're happy with gung-ho disregard for our resources ........................

Now how many fossil fuel burning vehicles do you have Mr P

Plus whats the carbon footprint for shifting all the goods and services to the back of beyond settlement you reside in ?

We're human, we consume, we can jump on the green bandwaggon to make ourselves feel better but who will actually forgo all the trapping of modern life other than Ghandi and his like.

We can all do our bit in western civilisation but the developing world outnumbers us big time and they are less picky about sustainability.

Deckchairs on the Titanic my friend, looks neat and tidy but that icebergs made a mighty big hole

I agree with both of you in a way

It is (words are not allowed on the forum to describe my anger) outrageous that so much goes to waste when it is not necessary to waste it

It is also a big problem, this is only one product and one nation that the fishfight is focussed on, this may not be enough to help stop the waste of the planets resources

But (as a supermarket once said) every little helps, the more voices raising concern the better.

Hopefully someday before it's too late (I hope we haven't passed this point yet without knowing it) all the inhabitants of the small blue sphere floating through space & time will eventually realise we are all the same and in the same boat & the time will come when we all do something for the good of the planet as a human race, rather than individuals and individual countries

Nothing to do with green politics - just sheer mad waste of food.

Vehicles - only drive one at a time

Delivery miles to nearest settlement - only consume local produce :D

I see there's another thread - must have a peek

As I say sheer bloody waste of food/fish/resource in times od financial austerity. Bonkers.

it is a huge waste to humans but every single one of those fish will be eaten by other fish/crabs and everything else inbetween :D

the eu sucks , the uk needs to get away from it and be more like america 8)

thats the one thing thats been bugging me, could the apparent increase in the stock of cod (as reported by the fishermen) be helped by the bycatch being discarded? dont know the answer, just curious
