First Project: Alpinestars!

Hi all, I'm new to the forum (and to retrobiking in general) and can't wait to get stuck into my first project. I'm hoping to go back to my teens and bag myself an Alpinestars; if anyone could help with sourcing one, that would be top. Anything considered with a 19" ish frame. Cheers all, Martin.

Hello bud, I've got a 19" Alpinestars Al Mega frame which I've preped ready for paint or polish, I was actually about to send it to the paint shop so if you're looking to do a proper show bike type build this would be ideal.

If you need any help or want someone to build it for you I'd be happy to help, I've built quite a few and have a few on going builds of my own (see the links in my footer).

Staf.

These come up fairly frequently on eBay. I've seen two in the past week or so. Click the AuctionWatch button at the top and click Alpinestars.

Also, the eBay and Marketplace thread usually turns these up.

I had an Al Mega as a kid too, lovely bike.

Good luck :)

Hi mate,

I might be able to help, I have an abused 1992 cro-mega LX frame (estay) that is a bad state and worse still has a chewed up seat post stuck in it. A lot of work required here, but you did say a project

Positives are 1. its an alpinestars, 2. its a bomb proof cro-mega and 3. its free of charge. Size is 19" c-t.

I visit Manchester fairly regularly to do the Clayton Vale XC series and ride at the Velodrome, so collection from either of those is possible. Really don't want to faffling with postage on this.

Cheers Mark
