just found this place and its like coming home.
jeez, all the stuff i used to lust over back when i was bike fit and couldn't afford it.

getting back in the saddle now and probably going to make a few changes to the bike.
maybe even try and get hold of a decent full sus frame like a heckler or tazmon.

current ride is a gary fisher pro caliber xc. not in original spec with full xt, but its done some miles in the 10 or so years ive had it. dont know if its just cobwebs, but it feels very long now. even with a stumpy stem. most likely my builders back though. and age!

would love to hear from any pro caliber owners. in the years ive had this ive never seen another.

great forum.

cheers, rick.

Oh Rick, from what you have said your prognosis is not good, a sensible man would tell you to erase this site from your mind and get out while you still can. Im not a sensible man however, so a very warm welcome to the site.
prepare yourself for an empty wallet, a disgruntled partner, realising that you always want/need one more bike no matter how many you have, and a sense of wellbeing that comes from knowing your in good company.

Welcome to retrobike 8) 8) 8)

Welcome Rick, yes this site is too addictive!!!!! After starting my re-build of an Alpinestars Cro-Mega, and thinking that would be it?? Im already planning my next!!!! Get out while you still can !!!!!! Lol
Happy Riding!

yep....I can testify to the addiction of this site too - just a good job really that my employer has a block on forums/sites of this nature otherwise I (along with many I expect!) would never get any work done.

Welcome to the site...now show us your shiny bits!

thanks for the welcome fellas.

where to start!
i could very easily put my fisher back to original spec on here.
how do you age a pro caliber?
and at what age do they become retro? :D

if the fisher doesn't fit, my m-trax will

shiny bits to follow.
