Finished at last: Alan Cross. Proper size pics

Probably my slowest ever project. Acquired frame in 2007 just before moving house, and lost the decals from Cyclomondo for over 18 months in the process...

Sourcing the fork took 3 years! Brakes the same..... But here she is.

Frame: Alan Cyclocross 1989

Fork: Alan Cyclocross unknown year - didn't come with frame. And the reason for the wait before finally unveiling.

Headset: 7410 Dura-Ace. Shimano 600 cable stop. "Correct" Mavic headset won't allow fitting of cable stop.

.. and looking lovely. Is that aluminium tubing bonded to alu lugs? It's a beautiful frame to look at. A quick search on Google revealed this http://www.alanbike.net/2010-2011/road-2010-2011/mito in naughty carbon fibre, but with the paint scheme nicely echoing the lugged design of your bike.

Yes lovely. RE: A Mavic seatpost (pin to you).

The most beautiful I'd seen before I saw a similar-era Dura-Ace. And maybe still, because I haven't seen the Mavic every day (or at all) in almost two years.

Still, I am sure the Dura-Ace is available in a 25mm size -- I have a spare -- but am doubtful the Mavic of the beautiful design available in 27.2mm size was available as a 25mm.
