Finally found a 96 Kona Sex One!

I've been on the lookout for one of these for a few years now, and have finally located one In my size. It has a pretty decent build, but I'm not too fond of the yellow parts and will probably throw some black LX M560 stuff and a Marzocchi fork on it. Does anybody know what the differences were between the Sex One, Sex Too, and Sex Three models? I know the Three is made of Easton alloy tubing, and that they have slightly different build kits, but is there anything else?

Hi jpicard616

Glad to hear you finally got what you were looking for, and I'm sure over time it will
develop into something a million miles better than it does today

You may not get to many post as there's not the greatest amount of love around these parts for early Kona full bouncers .... I think they fall into the same bracket as Orange X1's :D
but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with them, far from it

It'd be one hell of a boring world if we were reduced to all owning/riding Kleins

Not sure if it's lack of love, more just a lack of them to look at. Not many were bought as far as I can tell and those that did seemed to fail pretty easily. For me, the name is just silly as well; a big marketing ploy, in my eyes not really Kona's forte.

That said, I'm very curious to how they ride. I have a feeling they could be a bit squidgy. I love my Manomano with the "normal" design but that doesn't attract much attention either. Suspension is just too modern for some folk to handle
