Filet Brazed Woodrup covered in Campy

Seatpost was a worry for me but it was actually free as a bird!
AMAZING you got it. Were you the next highest bidder or were you the crazy guy with zero feedback? 🤪

Lovely machine. Looks like it's Centaur equipped vs. Euclid. Chainset is definitely Centaur.

Great project that's gone to a great home!

So are those 2.5" wide GC Extreme tyres???

Cheers!
I just messaged him and asked if it sold or not.
I said I’m local and will buy it for the right price 😎
Yep they are Ground control extremes.
Bars and stem are Specialized.
It’s 18” Centre to centre.
Can’t wait to clean it up!

Nice work!!
I’m actually local to the “Boro” 😅

Anyway, I’ll have to do some research on the bike. I thinks it’s an 89?
The seller even give me the original Campag Seatpost and “yellow” Turbo saddle 👍
(Heh, my comments about Boro were slightly tongue in cheek, I did a project at James Cook Hospital in 2016 which I didn't enjoy, but I went to a couple of games at the Riverside which were good :-))

'89 would be about right looking at the components.

It's got loads of cool bits on it, plus the frame looks lovely!

That’s so odd!!!! Did he say why he changed the saddle and seatpost? Or anything about how he got it?
Really pleased that you nabbed it. Must post pics of it as you dismantle and examine.
Are the forks welded and frame brazed? Will be a superb bike once cleaned, greased and built up. If the bike is straight with no creases or dents and intact threads you’ve got a real deal there. I just wasn’t brave enough to risk it. Keep us updated.

He just said his neighbour gave him it to sell and that it had just been sat in the shed for years.
He then gave me a carrier bag with the original Seatpost and saddle in it. I was so pleased they hadn’t been flung out.

It looks like it’s been someone’s race bike from back in the day.
I’d never heard of Woodrup but they seem to be still going. Based in Leeds.

Do you think Dan Pluck is the rider whose bike it was built for?

Here’s some close up pictures for now
