Favourites and least favourites bikes

You're just bitter 'cause Spookys are east coast hardcore and faster than your mom.

I loved that marketing quip. They had promise, sure...but like a good many ideas...bleah.

All they wanted to do was take the east coast vibe and can it under their own brand. Dirty cramped city urban bike shops piled high with broken crap, piercings and tats. Grove and Fat and EWR were already swinging long, and they just tried to market the scene like a new brand of Mayo. :P Whe n the dust settled, they just didn't have a point at all...like Pabst Blue Ribbon without the alcohol...don't waste your time!

"Faster than your Mom"...huffing her own hairspray, maybe! :D

I like anything that has a connection with the person that owns it. Either they have had it since new, or had one and want one again, or wanted one and could not afford it - that sort of thing, bikes with a story. Don't really care if they ride well in the view of the majority, just they they are loved for what they mean to their owner. No connection, then get rid (voila, my Funk has gone).

Don't even mind garage queens. Machined/anodised/shiney/painted/historic bikes look a whole lot better than a lot of 'art' I have seen.

No particular make thrills me, but I do like E-Stays.

The 1992 clockwork I bought 3 years ago had absolutely appalling blobby welding. It was plain nasty.

It was brand new and unbuilt (shop soiled) and I was a little dismayed at how cheaply painted it was too - it was just so thin and poorly done..

However, I do like them. My old riding buddy loved his, and it always looked nice in the orange and white scheme...
