Was talking to a mate of mine this week who is a CNC programmer. He was ogling my X-lite stem and we got talking about the possiblity of making something similar.
Just wondered which other CNC stems are getting the retrobike love right now??

ps....is it totaly obvious that I'm looking to steal the best design features from as many stems as possible and then see what my mate can rustle up when he's bored on Saturday morning??

Gadro promised me my battered Azonic Shorty stem.

My favourite all time CNC stem

Machine tech or Ringle Trail or possibly a Cooks

I'd go with the Azonic shorty too. Looked different to anything else when it first came out and inspried LOTS of copies.

X-Lite Fly was a nice one too.

The Machine Tech's were cool.. and I have to agree with Azonic Shorty, it was definitly ahead of it's time! The holey X-Lite was cool BITD but the design didn't age well IMO.

There's some nice modern stuff around too.. Straitline, Hope, Chromag have all got nice CNC'd stems in their catologues.

X lite fly for me. Bought one on here pretty soon after I joined up and still haven't done anything with it but just look at it. Craftmanship is quality.

Shorty is a beauty as well.

X-Lite Fly all the way. Mine's currently on my road bike!
But I also like the Blackspire Shore for some reason, it's just plain and simple.
