FatChance Colour Codes

Fat codes...humm.

We've posted a few through the years over at Fat Cogs, if you are really interested you could do a search there.

I've nailed down some of the formulas for resprays I've done, but most are hand mixed based off of the original paint hues before stripping/media blasting as most of the info from the Fat painters is looong lost.

Scant put me on the task of reproducing Grello a ways back and I've made some half hearted attempts, mostly due to time. The original color was a mix of Radiance Fluro green and yellow sprayed over a white base...pigments that are no longer available through the company.

I have found a mix that is quite close though...good enough for a resto, yep. Good enough to pass as original, there are as many opionions on that as there are differences in shade. I've attached a small pic.

I've been working on a list of the working substitute codes to post on Fat Cogs some time, may have to get at it again after the Handbuilt bicycle show.

cheers,

rody

Hmmm, you'd need to be pretty fussy for that to be not good enough for you. Plus authentic decals, what more could you want?
