The new Ritchey P series frames look waay neater in the head-tube area. I know they're made in Taiwan but I would take one of those over the new Fat Chance (look wise, probably a lot cheaper too). The rigid fork version should have a "regular" 1 1/8 inch headtube instead of that monstrosity... the fork dropouts look interesting.

Makes it clear why there was no prototype/images etc prior to pledges/customer commitment.

How many of the 26 would have pledged if this was what was shown.

I did think of getting one in the foreseeable future if the price went down a bit and they looked good.
Seems like that money is safe in my wallet.

I'm not buying one and in no way a FAT fan.

But the rigid forks look shite, rest of the frame looks fine just like any other. You can't see any detail to see if any 'fat' features have been kept. (Bullet tip dropout for example)

Why not design the fork to move with the technology is well and use and design a wider cool looking crown with a tapered steerer? Would look much better.

Still it's a first attempt, many more to go hopefully.

I hope he sees the comments from customers/fans etc and takes note.

Unless he really does think we are still spotty teenagers who are blinded by cool marketing. Hopefully he has realised that the market is totally different today as is the customers expectation.

Even though I didn't plan on buying one from Chris' first batch built.
It's kind of upsetting to see the finished result after all of this excitement and hype which has been going on over Fat coming back.

Despite being a Fatista...I have to say...its missed the mark aesthetically from the front. Front facing gussets on the fork...and huge crown/tyre gap :facepalm: not to mention previous points already made. Needs a rethink imo and I'm sure he will Maybe he was coerced into this design. Totally agree with the point that his frames need their own unique and functional design touches.

Maybe he should have had a chat with the designer of Ragley Bikes, he has done a far better job with them. And they sell for £350. I think.
