Fat Chance Buck Shaver, US (Boston, MA) Craigslist

Sorry, I had no idea. I only look at the Boston CL for the most part and it didn't ring a bell. I didn't think it was worth the cash, but I didn't want to ruffle any feathers if the lister was on here.

He's had it on every CL in the tri-state area. Doesn't seem like a bad guy, just has an over-inflated opinion of what his bike is worth. Seems like it is in really nice shape though, and aside from any fork issues, I am sure it rides great.

$650 must be over a half of what it cost new in 1993. Not many 1993 bikes are worth more than half their new price. A third maybe, but not a half.

I think he'd get it if it didn't have such a mid-range parts package.

A Buckshaver with AWESOME parts went for $700 something a while back on eBay. The worth of the parts far exceeded that number, even without the frame.

The parts look pretty much original, that's why we can relate its value to what it cost BITD. It's just a Buckshaver, not some high-end model.

Buckshaver is one of the most honest names for a bike. Over here, we say cheap as chips, but nobody ever called a bike that.

It is all relative though....they weren't *that* cheap, but compared to a Yo they were the econo-model. The BuckShaver frames were MSRP $850.
