I collected this frame FOC a few weeks back, but it's too small for me.
I was going to build it up for the missile, but she's happy with the Rock Lobster I already built for her (and so am I, as it fit's me too  ).
So, this is going to be 'auctioned' at Mountain Mayhem this Friday.
I thought it only fair to open it up to everyone though, so maybe sealed bids via PM can be considered :D

The frame measures up at 15" C to C. It had a dent on the down tube, and some paint bubbling at the bottom of the seat tube (both shown in pics below)

The money raised will go to the charity of the buyers choice, which I think is the fairest way

a raffle would raise more money i reckon. I'm not attending MM, but i'd have a ticket.

Great idea with the raffle but, as ever, it's more complicated than it looks - my understanding is that to sell tickets in advance you need a license from the Local Authority (a good question is that with the Internet, which Local Authority?). I don't think you need a license if tickets are sold at the event only though.

Might be best to run the raffle aspect via John?

Good point. Hadn't thought of the legalities.
How about if those interested pm me with your bids? In the event of more than one matching amount (£5 for example  ) then I'll devise a way of deciding the winning bidder on Friday night.
If not, then it's back to the original plan

Other sites that I frequent have got around this issue by having people donate directly to a charity, with their donation being noted on the forum in question. When the deadline is reached a random number generator is used to allocate the 'prize' as a freebie to whoever has that number. Numbers are usually assigned in order of the donations made. As no cash is exchanged for raffle tickets, and no value is placed on the prize, I think this has avoided complex legal issues. But as ever, I could be wrong!!
