Falcon Sierra

Not sure what year this is but just picked it up today with original handbook and tools! It has falcon front and rear mechs, polygon brake leavers and star brakes. Anyone know when these were built?I only live 4 miles away from where they make falcons so kinda nice to have an old one like this.

saw a similar one on ebay over the weekend that was in my watch list...

I like falcons, particularly the roadbikes...nice to see such an original one with all the cool little things like tools and handbook.

Thanks for the replies, it is in good original condition just a few patches of rust but nothing serious. Its interesting that the front and rear mechs have falcon etched onto them not sure if they are designes and built by them or just rebranded?

Fixed.

I don't think the majority of Falcons have been made in Brigg for a very long time, certainly last time I rode past the factory (over 10 years ago) it was just a distribution depot for Chinese BSOs

Maybe, I know my 1984 Falcon Pro BMX had a Taiwanese frame, but I think the bikes were still assembled in Brigg through the 80s, don't know when frame production ceased there.
