Facebook should be banned

The Mrs went on for a week or so, got inundated with muppets she used to know, so ended up binning the whole thing.
Know exactly where she's coming from tbh mate..

Only reason I opened a 2nd account and nailed it down was because there's a couple of people I have no other way of getting in touch with...

Facebook and Twitter are things that young girls do when they're not texting mates or straightening their hair! :?

I've seen Facebook cause a lot of problems in relationships.

Personally I very rarely go on it

I like it.

I work in the Merchant Navy, and couple of my good friends have moved so it is a good way of staying in touch.

I do agree that a lot of it is utter tosh, but surely you just tailor your page to suit you. I have no intention of being in the 'Mob', let alone getting involved in a 'war' and I don't like having sheep chucked at me. that kind of thing is too childish even for me!!

I think the truest comment ever passed was on BBC4 a while back, an anthroplogist was discussing the way humans interact; it turns out the maximum size of primate groups is about 150, the most common size of villages in the Magna Carta is also 150, Military organizations (platoons/squadrons/ship's companies) try to sub divide around the 150 mark also to keep inter-personal relationships workable.
She pointed out that if you have 600 'friends' on facebook that either '600' or 'friends' is incorrect.

I have less than 100 friends on facebook, and I can honestly say that I see over half of them once every 6 months at least in the flesh, and the remainder once every 3 years ('cos they live abroad).

I also am not big into the 'Identity theft' parnoia. Why the Fudge would someone want to be me? Want my overdraft??? Fine!

I knew my marriage was circling the drain when I saw my (now ex) wife's status on Bebo was no longer set to 'married'

Of course, I suppose someone in their mid 30s opening a Bebo account should have rung alarm bells to begin with...

I was up in Fraserburgh in Februaury and March and all the locals were on BeBo, no-one had a Facebook account.

Is there some sort of national distrust of Facebook? The colours are right and I'm pretty sure it's not English.
