i'll ask him when i see him anyway, his will come with the post as it won't fit anything else, also bear in mind that the sizing is strange on these because of the extended seat tube.

he might be willing to be sensible as none of us are going to get a decent redundancy payment and selling that frame would be cash out of nowhere.

condition wise, last time i saw it (stripped to a frame) it was pretty spotless apart from a scratch towards the BB on the seat tube. he does take care of his stuff but he bearly rides these days which is a shame as he also has a fausto coppi K14 with dura ace and a pinarello prince with dura ace aswel as 25th dura ace groupset he never got round to building on anything, so that is NOS in the box! i sold it to him for a super bargain price when i was still in the trade about 10(?) years ago.

He has some good bikes ! Please don't tell me the Coppi is a dark blue one , and has a Leeds Classic race number on it :shock: Prefer that to the overinflatedly priced -is that a word ?- Pinarello .
OMG I'm attracted to aloooominum ! somebody stop me , and sell me your Bianchi Nivacrom frame , NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE ! Don't wanna become addicted to bikes with chewing gum welds

yeah the Coppi is the dark blue one, it's got a dint in the top tube though, he was knocked off, the insurance paid for the Prince but the Coppi pretty much still looks fine.

I've got the Coppi Galaxy, the team polti one, it's the model above the K14

Would that be in yellow with green decals ? One of my oldclubmates had a steel one with - i think - chrome lugs . Looked nice I seem to remember , just a shame about the lard arse on top of it ! Think he had bottom bracket shell issues with it , and stopped riding it

i know a lot of people say italian frames should be built with campag (and generally i agree) but i think the Dura Ace looks awesome on it.


@Mike, the K14 is aluminium, so is the Galaxy but with some really nice touches, also the k14 has a steel fork the galaxy has an aluminium fork. mine was yellow with black decals but i had it painted by fatcreations a few years ago and it's pearl white now, still looks lovely though.

I've always been a Shimano rider , thought Bugno used d/t shifters and aero levers in '90 . Could well be wrong though , maybe that was the changeover year for the pros , Kelly excepted that is !
