Hi, selling this F.H.Carpenter road bike. I picked it up a while ago from an old chap who bought it off the original owner in the 1960’s. It’s a great little bike, but I need to make space in the house.

I believe the bike is completely original, apart from the seat post. The frame number is 5421, which dates it to approximately 1963. I also believe it’s the original paint job, which is in really great condition. It has full Nervex pro lugg’s and the signature Carpenter complete wrap around seat stays. Made from 531 double butted tubing. The seat tube measures 55cm (c - c) and top tube measures 56cm (c - c). Weinmann 27 x 1/4 rims on Campagnolo record small flange hubs. TDC bottom bracket. Can’t find a make on the headset. Stronglight crankset and TA chainrings. Lyotard Berthet model pedals. Mafac Dural Forge callipers and Mafac levers (still have the price tag on from F.W. Holdsworth of £5.19). Blumels tour de france shorty mudguards. GB forged hiduminium stem and GB ventoux handlebars. Campagnolo bar end shifters, Campagnolo gran sport rear derailleur and front derailleur. Brooks professional saddle and seat clamp, the skirt has been trimmed off the back. The seat post is just a generic make. All I have done is popped new cables and outers as the originals were shot. Rides really well and is great fun.

Got more pictures and happy to answer any questions.

Was after £450, located in Swansea. Happy to post at cost. Paypal preferred.
