Extralite Stem.....SWAP?

the syntace f99 was subject to a product recall a couple of years ago, due to a design fault leading to possible failure around the steerer clamp. they say on their website what age range is effected, and the stems are datestamped.
i had one, 120mm, 25.4, you had to take a picture of hacksawing it in half and email it to them, then they sent you out a brand new one. they even agreed to send me a 100mm instead of a 120. unfortunately they also made it a 26.0 kept meaning to send it back but i never got round to it so sitting idle.
that said i used the 120 for some fairly serious off road and never had any problems. just thought you might wanna check it out.
also...and this is in no way related... i might be interested in buying that extralite if you dont go through with the trade

Hi fella,

The syntace stems are really nice, you can check though if the stem Wold is selling is part of the 'recalled' batch via the serial no. on the stem, get wold to give you the no, and check it out..
