External BB cup diameter? (X-type, mega exo, hollowtech)

hey guys, im looking to find the outer diameter of the BB cup, the outer part where the splined installation tool actually fits on the cup. i have searched and cannot find this measurement on the web. been to each manufacturers site, but no info. if someone has a moment to throw a caliper on their BB cup that would be awesome!

i may have a unique hybrid BB/crank project happening, that i need this measurement for.

44mm or maybe just under 43.9mm my caliper's a bit old and my digital ones are broken.

captainchrisstc - thanks so much dude! that is exactly what i was looking for! turns out that number is a good thing....moving forward with my idea. ill keep you guys posted in the pre-1997 forum. this might turn out to be a potential solution for some of us.....

edit : what type/brand would that BB happen to be? FSA?

It's a Threadless YST one i have sat by my computer.
It's the shame measurement as the shimano one i have on my bike, i checked before.
