A good few years ago I had a few nice sets of Judy fax. I had 2 total air kits they were no's and for Judy's so I converted one and it was a brilliant fork.
A few years later I rebuilt the bike as rigid and sold the converted fax and the others as well as the total air kits.
I regret doing that but I can't turn back time, if I could I'd get 3 times what I sold them for as I'm too generous.
Anyhow, I have another total air kits, it states it's for a 98 Sid.
The sids of 98 were air anyway so what would the benefit have been using the total air kits? For the Judy's, replacing the elastomers or springs made sense.
Going from memory, the Sid kit looks the same as the judy one, does anyone know if they are indeed the same? I seem to recall the Judy one having a small reducer washer for the bolt on the earlier lower legs, but could be wrong as I also have a memory of drilling out a judy lower to enlarge the bolt hole, but there could have been for another reason.
In short, do I need a 98 Sid to make use of the kit or will they work on other forks, if so, what? I don't need another fork project but I do like fettling them.
