events in japan

The tsunami is reportedly hitting 500-600mph. Astonishing. I'd be worried if I was somehwere like Vanuatu or Hawaii.

i thought it was somewhat toned down

although i did see a massive wave sweep away 20-30 vans
thats some perspective

but as said, they are probably the most earthquake proof country
very, very clever race especially in this field

just seen shop workers holding up shelves - why bother, make sure your safe.

when i watched a program on the bulding of taipei 101 i realised how earth quake proof they are trying to be
absolutely amazing architecture
im sure now they will be reaping the benefits of their efforts so to speak (not that its a good thing, just that the tech will prove itself now)

hopefully it will all be over soon with minimal lives taken :(

The nuclear power plant situation is slightly worrying.

Some incredible photos are coming out from Japan:
