Eroica tyres

I am looking for advice about suitable tyres for my Mavic MA40 700c wheels. Going to do Eroica in Tuscany next year. I am a bit concerned about the stride bianche sections. Not sure if the gravel tyres will fit on these 13mm rims. Anyone with experience please let me know.

You'll be fine , your principle concern should be clearance of the chainstay {the part of the frame where the tyre is closest to the bottom bracket}. Some bicycles of age struggle with tyres wider than 25c . If your frame is a touring frame you'll probably be fine with 32 c . Mudguards also reduce the clearance , but if you're in Tuscany between May and October you're unlikely to need them .

I've got 43c tyres on a Mavic cxp14 without any issues

I have run MA40s with 32s. They're 13.5 mm internal width and the official Mavic answer for the US ambulance chasers is 28mm tyres max. Had zero probs with 32s (Maxxis Refuse) and run them at 62/65 psi (90KG rider).
