Not sure what the issue is here.
That's what long-distance road tourers tend to look like - At least before the pounding of weeks/months on the road.

Pack a service kit for the USE seatpost and maybe swap out the Cook's cranks
and it's spec'd well for the intended purpose. Touring ain't about the glamor.

Or am I missing something?

No no...I havn't got an issue...I think it looks great and well-loved too...lots of nice stuff on it....havn't seen a retro-tourer blingly specced like this before.

Yeah, I agree. The spec certainly reflects a lot of attention to detail from the owner. And I always liked the gray & white paint on these. Goes great with the brown Brooks & bar tape.
